Pro's
1. Last year the Ravens almost gave up a first round draft pick for him. We got quite a deal with this one.
2. He's a good veteran receiver and will provide a lot more experience in the receiving corps. (586 career receptions for 7520 yards and 44 TDs since 2003)
3. This eliminates one all-important wide receiver draft choice that the Ravens needed.
Con's
1. The 4-year, $28 million contract the Ravens offered is a pretty penny in the big scheme of things.
2. He (along with fellow veterans Donte Stallworth and Derrick Mason) has had some issues staying healthy throughout his career.
3. His stats have dropped over the past few years. (Last season: 84 receptions, 1024 yards, and 4 TDs)
Boldin definitely improves the depth at wideout for the Ravens and puts the pressure off WR worries for the moment, but he is not necessarily the final piece of the puzzle just yet. Stay tuned.
